Using Connected Assets to Improve Cross-Company Visibility and Management of Maintenance and Operations

There are number of factors driving the need of improved collaboration within the asset management ecosystem:

  • Asset operators want to minimize capital investments, operational overheads, and risks. The desire has been to buy products and services provided by the equipment or the equipment availability rather than buying the equipment itself.
  • Original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) want to drive revenue growth and competitive advantage with bundled products and services.
  • Service providers (including EPCs) want to provide value-added services enabled by new technological innovations.

The transition to the digital economy and the increasing adoption of new technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT) and cloud-based networks provide an opportunity to automate the data exchange and enable a simplified collaboration model among these stakeholders via asset management networks. This session will present fundamental changes that needed to take place in the supply chain and asset lifecycle management to realize a next epoch of value from our increasingly complex assets. Experience a demo and provide your feedback. We are interested in understanding your priorities for this area.
