Using Genscape and IIR Data to Create a Real-Time Turnaround Dashboard

With an ever-increasing amount of data being made available, keeping track of turnarounds and understanding their impact on supply are becoming more and more difficult. In addition, real-time, human-provided information such as IM and tweets only serves to further cloud the picture. In order to solve this, we integrated data from both Genscape and Internet Routing Registry (IRR) in real time, along with human intelligence, in an easy-to-use form factor that could adjust to the device the user was on. This allows our traders to quickly see upcoming outages along with their impact on supply. In addition, they can see outages that have ended prior to their start date or have gone on longer than their planned date. Finally, all of this can be manually overridden should new information be made available.

Key Business Benefits:

  • Gain a high-level overview of all outages, planned and current.
  • Ability to sort outages by PADD, refinery owner, capacity, and unit type allow for trader-specific insights to be developed.
  • Real-time integration with reporting services reduces manual entry and decreases the delay in information being loaded.

Streamline Cash Management and Liquidity Forecast with SAP S/4HANA

Freeport LNG is a private company. A significant portion of internal and external reporting are cash basis. Before the implementation of SAP Cash Management and liquidity forecast, many cash-relevant transactions were recorded in SAP via manual journal entry, and cash actuals were converted from GAAP (generally accepted accounting principles)-based accounting. Process efficiency and productivity were challenged due to massive manual operations on spreadsheets. The newly implemented cash functionality introduces straight-through processing and transforms the treasury management system, using SAP S/4HANA as a side-car workstation. Finance professionals are redeployed from manual tasks to value-added analysis. The system is now able to generate cash-basis reports with consistent and reliable system data and allows the company to share information in a more secure and effective manner.

Key Business Benefits:

  • Significant time and cost reduction associated with manual operations
  • Support real-time reporting with reliable and consistent system data
  • Improved security and controls including fraud risk reduction
